the wind
blew through
tossing birds’ nests
felling two tall trees
and twisting gold finch in a frenzy-
left the spoils
and panicked birds
and leaf and twigs
asunder!
took them
UP
rent them
blew them
DOWN!

Antidote (Poem Spell)
.
stone in my heart be dust, be dust.
annoying wind, be cranberry yarn.
midnight storm, bring the clear tides in.
leaping dogs, bring the salty shells.
peasant bread, dip in olive oil.
reeds gold and pink, blow in the light.
clenched fist, open and wait.
riot of sunlight, set in the night.
don’t know what to do, you’ve come to the real work.
don’t know where to go, you’ve come to the real journey.
bafflement, get employed.
impeded stream, sing.

Sky
No sky
Below
In Quicksilver studio.
But basement roots in shadow.
Sky
In kitchen.
Skylight rains sunshine;
Reflections on oranges.
Sky
In Pathfinder.
Skylight clears pathways
For intimate exchanges.
Sky
On deck
Rises to 100 degrees
In March and April eves.
Sky
On hill
Swirls wind and birds and calls
Spices for each season.
Sky
Is not
My planet, but the aura protecting
Multiplying molecules: myself!
