Today my 79 year old brother mourned the non-response of my daughter who uses texting instead of landline phone. My sister’s response to the storm weather report was to defy the wind and drive through it. I concurred.
Then brother warned relatives of danger of the storm and advised not to gather. The weather reports differed in each locale. There were many points of view.
The reunion was shelved; the ante was the only show. Each fox observed differing phenomena.
The ante rose and fell, blew and rearranged itself in soft drifts that froze. The ante froze in place. The curtain closed.
