The Four of Swords reversed Tarot card…

Four of Swords (Reversed)Tarot card from Maria Loren
9/3/21
According to The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by A.E. Waite, Four of Swords is described as the following:
The effigy of a knight in the attitude of prayer, at full length upon his tomb.
Divinatory Meanings: Vigilance, retreat, solitude, hermit’s repose, exile, tomb and coffin. It is these last that have suggested the design.
Reversed: Wise administration, circumspection, economy, avarice, precaution, testament.
The reversed Four of Swords is today’s tarot card, and it is a clear indication that you may be feeling exhausted in one area—if not all—of your life. This is a card that represents a severe need for some personal treatment and self-care. This card wants you to take the time to rest because it is well needed.
When this card shows its presence, it’s reminding you that at some point, you need to stop, take a break, and give yourself some relaxation treatment. You’re not a machine and can’t keep going on forever. You’ll push yourself past exhaustion and end up collapsing.
Why is it necessary to give yourself some self-care treatment right now?
The reversed Four of Swords is like a warning sign and shouldn’t be taken too lightly. You may have just been through a stressful and energy-draining period in your life. You are all burnt out yet feeling restless simultaneously, and you are in dire need of some sort of treatment.
Your energy levels are at an extreme all-time low, and you need to rest, recharge, and recuperate. You may be feeling some restlessness, and you’re beginning to crash and burn out. You’ve been drained of all you’ve got physically, mentally, and emotionally. If you keep going, soon there will be absolutely nothing left to give.
That is why this card is asking you to do yourself a favor and give yourself some treatment and self-care. Not just because you need it, but because you deserve it as well. Time to give a little bit to yourself now. Everyone else can wait.
What kinds of self-care and personal treatment are there?
The reversed Four of Swords is asking you to look at the five aspects in your life where proper self-care and personal treatments are essential. Failing to take care of one or more of these aspects in your life can be harmful to your health and wellbeing. So, it’s best to make sure they aren’t being neglected.
Ensuring each of these areas get attention paid to and getting the care they need is an essential part of healing and rejuvenating yourself; body, mind, and spirit.
