I was recently inspired by Catherine Johnson’s poem, and wanted to accompany hers with this one.
Water skiing

Ride
upright
when you ski;
bended knees: elbows
rigid, pulling tight, grabbing quick!
Swish through waves, sway, drag, wake-create a flash, glint of gold!

Wow, Jeanne I love that! Thanks so much for the shout out. Your picture is super and you captured it perfectly with your glint of gold.

In 1968, I went to Jamaica, West Indies, for my honeymoon. The pilot of the motor boat told me not to bend my elbows and though shaking as I came up to ski, I never fell around the bay 2x. The feeling was glorious! I skied like this 5 more times and my muscles and balance propelled me through the water. Quite the rush!
