PINK

It’s the pink in the ink
that grabs me.
It flushes and blushes
a ruddy and shocking display.

That grabs me,
at dawn, the scarlet red sea
with dianthus wild blossoms:pink eyes!

It flushes and blushes
all noses and ears with
pinkie-chilled, winter-y winds.

A ruddy and shocking display
Of pin-pricks from salmon on run:
their florid jump-dance in the sun!
